🇹🇼台湾(Taiwan (Chinese Taipei))🇧🇬保加利亚(Bulgaria)TW-BG 台湾(Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)) 前往 保加利亚(Bulgaria) 签证要求
No visa is required. Taiwan ordinary passport holders can visit Bulgaria visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Bulgaria became a full Schengen member on 1 January 2025, so the Schengen short-stay rules apply. Bulgaria is a full member of the Schengen Area (land borders included since 1 January 2025). Taiwan is on the EU's visa-exempt list (Annex II of Regulation (EU) 2018/1806), and Taiwanese ordinary passport holders have been visa-free for short stays in the EU/Schengen since 11 January 2011. For tourism, a Taiwan passport holder may enter Bulgaria without a visa and stay up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period — this 90-day total is shared across the entire Schengen Area, not counted separately for Bulgaria. The visa exemption applies only to ordinary passports that contain the holder's national ID card number; the passport must have been issued within the previous 10 years and be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure. The waiver does not give an automatic right of entry: border officers may ask for proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, accommodation, and purpose of visit. The exemption covers tourism and short business but does not cover paid work or stays over 90 days, which require a national visa. ETIAS (the EU travel authorisation for visa-exempt nationals) is not yet in force; it is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026. Until then, no pre-travel authorisation is needed. After ETIAS goes live, Taiwanese travellers will need to obtain an approved ETIAS before travelling to Bulgaria.
