🇹🇼台湾(Taiwan (Chinese Taipei))🇦🇹奥地利(Austria)TW-AT 台湾(Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)) 前往 奥地利(Austria) 签证要求
Taiwan ordinary passport holders can travel to Austria visa-free for tourism and short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, as Austria is in the Schengen Area. The passport must contain the holder's national ID number. Austria is a Schengen Area member state, and Taiwan (R.O.C.) is on the EU's visa-exemption list for short stays. A holder of an ordinary Taiwanese passport may enter Austria and the wider Schengen Area visa-free for tourism, business, or family visits for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. A mandatory condition confirmed by the Austrian Foreign Ministry (BMEIA): the passport must show the holder's national identity card number; passports without an ID number do not qualify for the waiver and require a Schengen visa. The 90/180 cap is cumulative across all Schengen states combined, not per country. As of 1 June 2026, no pre-travel electronic authorization is required. The EU's ETIAS travel authorization is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026, with a transitional grace period afterward; it is not yet in force, so Taiwanese travelers currently enter on the visa waiver alone. The EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) biometric border registration is also being phased in. Travelers should carry proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds, as Schengen border officers may request them.
