Only Turkish special (green), service, and diplomatic passport holders are visa-exempt. ETIAS does not apply to Turkish nationals; they continue to need a full Schengen visa. Denmark is a member of the Schengen Area, and Turkish ordinary passport holders are not on the EU's visa-free (Annex II) list. As of June 2026, a Turkish citizen traveling on an ordinary passport must apply for a Schengen short-stay visa (type C) before departure. Applications for Denmark from Turkey are handled by the Royal Danish Embassy in Ankara through VFS Global visa application centres. The visa allows a maximum stay of 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area.
