Thai passport holders need a visa to enter Paraguay. Thailand is not on Paraguay's visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists, so a consular tourist visa must be arranged before travel. As of June 2026, holders of an ordinary Thailand passport require a visa to enter Paraguay for tourism. Paraguay's official Migration Directorate list does not include Thailand among visa-exempt nationalities, and Paraguay's visa-on-arrival facility is limited to a small number of countries (notably Oman and Qatar) - Thailand is not eligible. Thai travelers must apply through Paraguay's Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Visa en Línea" (online) system, which handles the NO RESIDENTE (non-resident/short-stay) category for stays of up to 90 days. The online form starts the process, but applicants must complete it at a Paraguayan embassy or consulate (a personal interview is normally required; remote interviews are only allowed in justified cases). Because Paraguay has no embassy in Bangkok, Thai applicants generally use the nearest accredited Paraguayan mission (for example in Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi or another covering post). The single-entry tourist visa fee is around USD 65 (multiple-entry roughly USD 100); you should apply at least about 30 days before departure. Visa approval does not guarantee entry - the final admission decision rests with Paraguay's migration officers at the border. Travelers should also carry a passport valid for at least six months, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation details and sufficient funds.
