🇹🇭泰国(Thailand)🏳格陵兰(Greenland)TH-GL 泰国(Thailand) 前往 格陵兰(Greenland) 签证要求
Thai ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Greenland. Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark but is NOT in the Schengen Area, so a Schengen visa does not cover it. Thai citizens must apply for a separate short-stay visa specifically valid for Greenland through a Danish diplomatic mission before travelling. Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark but sits outside the EU and the Schengen Area, so it operates its own short-stay visa channel administered by Denmark. Nationals who are visa-exempt for the Schengen Area may enter Greenland visa-free for up to 90 days, but Thailand is NOT on that exemption list. Thai ordinary-passport holders are therefore visa-required and must obtain a dedicated Greenland short-stay visa. Critically, a regular Danish/Schengen visa is not valid for Greenland; the visa sticker must explicitly state validity for Greenland (or "Greenland and the Faroe Islands"). Applications follow the Schengen short-stay procedure and are submitted to a Danish embassy/consulate or an authorised visa centre that handles applications on behalf of Denmark. The maximum stay is 90 days within any 180-day period. The fee mirrors the Schengen short-stay fee (EUR 90 for adults, EUR 45 for children 6-12, free under 6), and standard processing is up to 15 calendar days, extendable to 45 days when referred to the Danish Immigration Service. One practical difference: if the visa is issued for Greenland (and/or the Faroe Islands) only, Schengen-style travel medical insurance is not mandatory, though insurance remains strongly recommended. ETIAS does not apply to Greenland because Greenland is not a Schengen/EU territory.
