To reduce risk, carry a printed copy of the exemption list from evisa.td, proof of onward/return travel, hotel booking, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate (mandatory for Chad). All foreign visitors, regardless of visa status, must complete police registration within 72 hours of arrival. If you cannot confirm exemption status before travel, the fallback is to apply for a Chad eVisa (a 90-day multiple-entry short-stay eVisa costs approximately EUR 100). Confirm the latest status directly with evisa.td or the nearest Chadian diplomatic mission before departure.
