Singapore ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Qatar. On arrival they receive a free 30-day visa waiver, granted at the airport with no prior application. Singapore is on Qatar's visa-exemption list for short tourist visits. A Singaporean ordinary passport holder is automatically issued a free visa waiver on arrival valid for 30 days, extendable once for a further 30 days. This is sometimes branded as "visa on arrival" but is granted at no cost and requires no advance application. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival, and should carry proof of onward or return travel and confirmed accommodation. Qatar is in the Middle East and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Note that as of 2026 Singapore's MFA has issued regional travel advisories for the Middle East due to security tensions; travelers should check current advisories before departure. The visa-waiver channel itself remains in force for Singapore passports.
