Applications are made by submitting a physical passport and supporting documents to an Algerian embassy or consulate. Singapore does not host an Algerian embassy, so applications are typically routed through the Algerian Embassy in Jakarta (with Kuala Lumpur as another regional mission). Tourist visas are usually issued as single-entry, allowing a stay of up to 90 days, with the passport required to be valid at least six months beyond the intended stay and proof of onward/return travel needed. Processing generally takes 2-8 weeks for individual applicants, so apply well ahead of travel. Algeria has announced an eVisa scheme for certain organized tourist arrivals, but a conventional consular visa remains the primary and reliable route for Singapore-based applicants.
