Short-stay visas can be single or multiple entry and are valid for a maximum of 180 days. Passports should be valid at least 6 months beyond the intended stay, and a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry. Applications are recommended at least 10 days before travel and cannot be lodged more than 6 months ahead. A visa-on-arrival exists only for holders of a pre-arranged approval from the Delegue General de la Surete Nationale, which is not the standard tourist route.
