Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders do NOT travel visa-free to Bangladesh, but Saudi nationals are on Bangladesh's visa-on-arrival (VOA) eligible list. You can obtain a single-entry tourist visa on arrival at major Bangladeshi airports (Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet) and certain land borders for up to 30 days, paying roughly USD 51 in cash. Issuance is at the immigration officer's discretion, so carry a return ticket, hotel booking, and proof of funds. As of 30 May 2026, Saudi Arabia is one of the nationalities approved for Bangladesh's visa-on-arrival (VOA) program, covering tourism, business, and investment. A Saudi ordinary passport holder can fly to Dhaka, Chittagong, or Sylhet (or use designated land borders) and request a tourist VOA at the immigration counter. The VOA is single-entry, valid for a maximum stay of 30 days, and extendable in-country by a further 30 days at the Department of Immigration and Passports. The standard fee is USD 51, payable in cash (USD/GBP/EUR). VOA is granted at the discretion of the immigration officer, who may ask for a confirmed return/onward ticket, hotel/tour booking, a local address/contact, and proof of sufficient funds (around USD 500 equivalent). Bangladesh has no general online tourist eVisa for Saudi nationals, so the alternatives are this VOA or a pre-arranged visa from a Bangladesh diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia. Because VOA is discretionary, travelers who want certainty - or who arrive at a port that does not issue VOA - should obtain a tourist visa in advance from the Bangladesh embassy/consulate. This is not a visa-free arrangement and Bangladesh is not part of the Schengen area, so no 90/180 or ETIAS rules apply.
