🇷🇺俄罗斯(Russian Federation)🇸🇰斯洛伐克(Slovakia)RU-SK 俄罗斯(Russian Federation) 前往 斯洛伐克(Slovakia) 签证要求
Russian ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa to visit Slovakia for tourism. There is no visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or ETIAS option for Russian nationals. Slovakia is a full member of the Schengen Area, so entry for short tourist stays is governed by uniform Schengen rules. Russian citizens are not on the EU visa-exempt list and are therefore not eligible for ETIAS; they must obtain a Schengen Type C (short-stay) visa before travel. Applications are lodged in Russia through the Slovak Consulate or an authorised external visa centre (BLS/VFS Global), normally only when Slovakia is the main destination of the trip. The standard visa fee for Russian nationals remains EUR 35 (under the EU-Russia visa facilitation arrangement), plus an external service-provider fee. Mandatory travel medical insurance covering at least EUR 30,000 is required. Since 7 November 2025 the European Commission has effectively suspended the routine issuance of multiple-entry visas to Russian nationals on security and migration grounds, so most tourists now receive single-entry visas and must reapply for each trip. Separately, from 1 January 2026 Russian citizens must hold a biometric international passport to be issued Schengen visas/enter several EU states. Once issued a valid visa, travel is limited to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area.
