The headline visa fee is USD 100 (a reduced USD 50 applies for online lodgement per the official portal); all fees are levied in US dollars and converted to Solomon Islands dollars (SBD) at the time of registration. Processing has no guaranteed timeframe but tourist applications are commonly processed within several business days. Russians should apply well ahead of travel — the immigration authority recommends contacting it at least two weeks before the intended trip. Because sources confirm Russia is on the prior-approval list and is absent from both the visa-exempt and free-permit-on-arrival lists, the conservative and correct classification is a pre-arranged visa obtained online (eVisa).
