Russian ordinary passport holders can enter Morocco visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days; just present a valid passport, return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation and sufficient funds at the border. Russia and Morocco have a long-standing reciprocal visa-waiver arrangement (in force since 2005), so holders of an ordinary Russian Federation passport do not need any visa for short tourist visits to Morocco. Morocco is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. No advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival fee is involved. As of 2026-05-30 there are no announced changes ending this exemption; the only nuance is that overstays require a formal extension request at a Moroccan police prefecture. Travelers should still carry travel/health insurance (commonly recommended at EUR 30,000 medical coverage) although it is not strictly a border-checked condition for short visits.
