🇷🇺俄罗斯(Russian Federation)🇮🇶伊拉克(Iraq)RU-IQ 俄罗斯(Russian Federation) 前往 伊拉克(Iraq) 签证要求
Russian ordinary passport holders need an Iraq eVisa, obtained online before travel. Since 1 March 2025 Iraq ended visa-on-arrival for Russia and 36 other countries, making the eVisa mandatory for a short tourist visit. A Russian citizen holding an ordinary passport cannot enter Iraq visa-free and can no longer rely on visa-on-arrival. Effective 1 March 2025, Iraq's Ministry of Interior moved 37 nationalities, Russia included, onto a mandatory pre-departure electronic visa (eVisa). The eVisa is applied for on the official federal portal (evisa.iq), covers tourism and short visits across all of federal Iraq including the Kurdistan Region, and is normally issued as a single-entry tourist visa. Typical official cost is about USD 158-160 (roughly 206,000 IQD including the mandatory health-insurance component collected on arrival), processing usually 24-72 hours, with a 30-day stay and validity in the 60-day range from issue. The passport must be valid at least 6 months with blank pages. Journalists and NGO/media workers are excluded from the eVisa and must use an Iraqi embassy. Because Iraq is not in the Schengen area, the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Sources consulted include the official Iraq eVisa portal, Wikipedia's Visa policy of Iraq, and immigration-policy news outlets reporting the March 2025 change; given conflicting figures on exact fee and validity, conservative current ranges are given.
