A Polish ordinary passport holder needs a visa to enter Sudan for tourism. There is no visa-free entry, no eVisa, and no visa-on-arrival for Polish citizens. The visa must be obtained in advance from a Sudanese embassy or consulate. Note that Sudan is in active armed conflict and carries a "Do Not Travel" advisory; tourist visa issuance is effectively suspended in practice. Sudan does not grant visa-free access to Polish (ordinary) passport holders, and Poland is not on Sudan's short visa-on-arrival list (which is limited to a handful of nationalities such as Eritrea, Kenya, Malaysia and Turkey). Sudan also has no general eVisa platform open to European tourists. A Polish traveller must therefore apply for a traditional sticker visa at a Sudanese embassy or consulate before departure, submitting a passport valid at least 6 months, photos, an invitation/itinerary, proof of funds and the fee. Processing typically takes 2-6 weeks and may require referral to Khartoum. Critically, since April 2023 Sudan has been engulfed in armed conflict between the SAF and RSF; Khartoum International Airport is closed, Port Sudan is the only operating civilian gateway and is subject to drone attacks, embassies have suspended services, and major governments (US Level 4, plus UK/Canada/EU equivalents) advise against all travel. On arrival, all foreigners must register with the police (aliens registration) within roughly 3 days. Israel-related stamps/visas can cause refusal of entry. For practical purposes tourist travel to Sudan is not currently feasible, and any visa decision rests entirely with Sudanese authorities.
