To enter, the passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival, and travelers should carry proof of onward or return travel and evidence of sufficient funds. The stay can be extended for additional 30-day periods by applying to the Guatemalan Migration Institute (Instituto Guatemalteco de Migracion) in Guatemala City before the initial period expires. No COVID-19 entry requirements remain in place; a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required only when arriving from a country where the disease is endemic.
