The passport should be valid for at least the duration of stay (commonly cited as 3 months beyond arrival; airlines may ask for 6 months). Travelers must complete the iDeclare immigration and customs declaration (online at belizetravel.immigration.gov.bz or on paper at the airport) and should carry proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Stays beyond 30 days require an extension obtained from a Belize Immigration office (currently around 200 Belize dollars / roughly 100 US dollars per additional 30-day period). A departure tax applies when leaving; for air travelers it is normally bundled into the airfare, while a 20 US dollar tax applies at land/water borders to Guatemala or Mexico. Belize is in Central America and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules are not relevant to this route.
