Polish citizens need an eVisa to visit Afghanistan. Apply online before travel through the E-Afghans portal; the single-entry tourist eVisa allows a stay of up to 30 days and is currently valid only for arrival at Kabul International Airport. A Poland (ordinary passport) holder cannot enter Afghanistan visa-free and there is no general visa-on-arrival for tourists. Afghanistan rolled out an online tourist eVisa system in 2026 (E-Afghans portal), and Polish nationals are eligible. The eVisa is single-entry, permits a maximum stay of 30 days, must be used within 90 days of issue, and at present is only accepted at Kabul International Airport (not at land borders). The total cost is roughly USD 128 (an application fee of about USD 8 plus a visa fee of about USD 120 with processing charges). Standard processing runs from same-day express up to about 1-3 weeks. Travelers should note Afghanistan carries the highest-level "Do Not Travel" advisories from most Western governments, including Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, due to terrorism, kidnapping, armed conflict and arbitrary detention risks; consular assistance is extremely limited. Visas must be issued by the current de facto (Taliban) authorities; older Republic-era visas may be refused.
