The ETA-IL costs ILS 25, is valid for two years or until the passport expires, allows multiple entries of up to 90 days each, and is electronically linked to the passport (no stamp or printout required). On arrival, travelers are issued a paper entry slip rather than a passport stamp, which serves as permission to travel within both Israel and Palestinian Authority areas. Because there is no Palestine-specific visa channel and entry hinges on Israeli authorization, the most accurate verdict for a short tourist visit is an ETA (the ETA-IL). Note that entry via the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge from Jordan can result in an entry permit restricted to PA-controlled West Bank areas, and the security situation in the region changes frequently — always check current travel advisories before booking.
