Processing typically runs about 7-10 business days, and faster when supported by an invitation letter or hotel booking verifiable through Pakistan's tourism database. The previously available visa-on-arrival and visa-prior-to-arrival channels were suspended effective 1 January 2026, so advance online application is now the only route for ordinary passport holders. Pakistan is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Applicants should ensure a passport valid for at least 6 months, a confirmed return ticket, accommodation proof, and adequate funds.
