🇵🇭菲律宾(Philippines)🇧🇬保加利亚(Bulgaria)PH-BG 菲律宾(Philippines) 前往 保加利亚(Bulgaria) 签证要求
Yes. Philippine ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Bulgaria for tourism. Because Bulgaria became a full Schengen Area member on 1 January 2025, you must apply for a short-stay Schengen Type C visa before you travel. ETIAS does not apply to Filipinos because they are a visa-required nationality. Bulgaria fully joined the Schengen Area on 1 January 2025 (air and sea border checks were lifted on 31 March 2024, and land border checks on 1 January 2025). The Philippines is on the EU list of nationalities that require a visa for short stays in the Schengen Area, so Filipino ordinary passport holders cannot enter Bulgaria visa-free and are not eligible for the ETIAS travel authorisation (ETIAS is only for visa-exempt nationals). Travelers must obtain a uniform short-stay Schengen visa (Type C), which permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the whole Schengen Area. Applications are filed at the Bulgarian diplomatic mission responsible for the Philippines or through its authorised visa service centre; if traveling to multiple Schengen states, the application goes to the country of main destination. The standard adult visa fee is EUR 90 (plus any service-centre charges). Required documents include a valid passport, completed application form, biometric photo, travel medical insurance covering at least EUR 30,000, proof of accommodation, round-trip itinerary, and evidence of sufficient funds. If sources conflict or a visa cannot be confirmed, the conservative position is that a visa is required - which is the case here, confirmed by EU Schengen membership records and the Schengen common visa policy.
