Netherlands passport holders need a visa for Myanmar, and the simplest option is the official Tourist eVisa applied for online before travel. There is no visa-free entry and no visa-on-arrival for Dutch citizens. A Netherlands ordinary passport holder cannot enter Myanmar visa-free, and Myanmar's visa-on-arrival is currently limited to a short list of nationalities (China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macao, South Korea) that does not include the Netherlands. Dutch tourists should apply for Myanmar's official Tourist eVisa through the Ministry of Immigration and Population portal (evisa.moip.gov.mm) before travelling. The tourist eVisa costs USD 50 (normal) or USD 56 (express), is single entry, permits a stay of up to 28 days, and the approval letter is valid for 90 days from issue. Standard processing is up to 3 working days, with many approvals within 24-48 hours. The eVisa is only valid for entry at four approved points: Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw international airports, and the Kawthaung land border (from Thailand). Travellers must print the approval letter to be stamped on arrival. Note that Myanmar is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply here; those concern travel into the EU, not into Myanmar.
