Dutch ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist or short visits to Guyana. The Netherlands is on Guyana's official visa-exempt list, allowing stays of up to 90 days. Netherlands ordinary passport holders can travel to Guyana visa-free for tourism and short visits. The Netherlands appears on the Guyana Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Embassy of Guyana official list of countries whose nationals do not require a visa, with a permitted visa-exempt stay of up to 90 days. No advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed for short tourist trips. Guyana is in South America and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. On arrival, an immigration officer stamps the passport and grants a stay (often an initial period that can be extended at Guyana's immigration office up to the 90-day limit). Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months, carry proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds, and present a yellow fever vaccination certificate if arriving from or having transited a yellow fever risk country within the prior six days. Guyana has been developing an eVisa platform, but as of 2026 it is aimed at nationalities that require a visa and does not affect visa-exempt Dutch tourists. Travelers intending to work, study, or stay long term need the appropriate visa.
