No visa. As a Netherlands (EU/Schengen) national, you have freedom of movement and can travel to Greece with just a valid Dutch passport or national ID card. There is no time limit on your stay, and EU citizens are exempt from ETIAS. Both the Netherlands and Greece are members of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Under EU freedom of movement rules, Dutch citizens may enter, travel, and stay in Greece without a visa and without any 90/180-day cap that applies to non-EU visitors. A valid Netherlands passport OR a valid Dutch national identity card is sufficient to cross the border. EU citizens do NOT need ETIAS (the European travel authorisation launching for visa-exempt third-country nationals in late 2026) and are not subject to the Entry/Exit System (EES) biometric registration that began rolling out in October 2025. For stays beyond three months in Greece, Dutch citizens should register with the local authorities (residence registration), but this is a formality, not a visa. The only practical requirements are carrying a valid travel document and, if working or settling long-term, completing residence registration.
