🇳🇱荷兰(Netherlands)🇨🇷哥斯达黎加(Costa Rica)NL-CR 荷兰(Netherlands) 前往 哥斯达黎加(Costa Rica) 签证要求
Dutch (Netherlands) ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Costa Rica. As an EU country, the Netherlands is in Costa Rica's Group 1, allowing visa-free entry for up to 180 days. You just need a valid passport and proof of onward/return travel. Costa Rica places the Netherlands in its most favourable visa category (Group 1), which grants visa-free entry to all EU nationals for tourism and short visits for a stay of up to 180 days. A November 2025 DGME directive (published 17 Nov 2025) reorganised and clarified Costa Rica's four-group visa system but did NOT change the Group 1 benefits for EU/Dutch citizens; the tightened rules mainly affected Group 3/4 nationals and visa-based exemptions. Dutch travellers must hold a passport valid for at least one day on the intended date of departure from Costa Rica (a stricter 6-month buffer is often advised by airlines and agencies as a safety margin) and must be able to show proof of onward or return travel on arrival. The actual number of days granted is stamped at the discretion of the immigration officer at the port of entry, with 180 days being the ceiling rather than a guarantee; if a shorter stamp is given it can be extended up to the 90-day mark via the immigration service before it expires. Note that Costa Rica is in Central America, not the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route (ETIAS instead affects Costa Ricans travelling to Europe, not the reverse). There is no visa fee, no application form and no eVisa for this short-stay tourist scenario. Travellers should keep a return ticket, proof of accommodation/funds, and a passport meeting validity rules to avoid being refused entry.
