The process is a hybrid: you complete an online pre-enrollment and pay the EUR 73 fee at snedai.com/e-visa at least 48 hours before your flight, receive an emailed confirmation, then have your biometric visa issued and pasted into your passport on arrival at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (Port Bouët) in Abidjan. The e-Visa is single entry, valid for a stay of up to 90 days, and is only accepted at Abidjan international airport - travelers arriving by land or at other entry points must obtain a visa from an Ivorian diplomatic mission in advance instead. Passports must be valid for at least six months with at least two blank pages. Côte d'Ivoire is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 rules and ETIAS do not apply. As of 2026-06-03, the Netherlands remains outside the (mostly ECOWAS) list of visa-exempt nationalities, so the e-Visa verdict stands.
