Sources conflict — some list Malaysia as visa-required for Asia, others as visa-exempt. Following a conservative reading and the now-mandatory eVisa regime, a Malaysian ordinary passport holder should obtain a Chad eVisa for a short tourist stay. The short-stay tourist eVisa is typically valid up to 90 days with stays of 30-90 days depending on the option chosen, costs roughly EUR 100 / USD 107, and is processed in up to about 10 working days. A passport valid at least 6 months, a photo, return ticket, accommodation proof and proof of funds are required.
