🇲🇾马来西亚(Malaysia)🇷🇺俄罗斯(Russian Federation)MY-RU 马来西亚(Malaysia) 前往 俄罗斯(Russian Federation) 签证要求
Malaysian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Russia, but for short tourist trips the easiest route is the Russian unified e-visa: a fully online single-entry visa valid 120 days, allowing a stay of up to 30 days, costing about USD 52 (approximately RM 245), with approval in up to 4 calendar days. Russia and Malaysia have no visa-waiver agreement for ordinary passports, so a Malaysian citizen cannot enter Russia visa-free for tourism. However, Malaysia is on the official list of 64 countries whose nationals can obtain Russia's unified electronic visa (e-visa), administered by the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at evisa.kdmid.ru. The e-visa is applied for entirely online with no invitation letter or hotel booking required. It is a single-entry visa, valid for 120 days from issue, and permits a stay of up to 30 days from the date of entry (rules effective since the August 2025 expansion, which raised validity from 60 to 120 days and stay from 16 to 30 days). The consular fee is around USD 52, and processing takes no more than 4 calendar days. The e-visa covers tourism, business, humanitarian, and guest visits, and allows entry across the entire territory of Russia through designated checkpoints. Travelers staying longer than 30 days, or for purposes outside the e-visa scope, must instead obtain a regular visa through the Russian Embassy/visa center in Malaysia, which requires an invitation letter. Russia is not part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
