Malaysian passport holders need a visa for Madagascar. The eVisa is typically issued within about 72 hours, while visa on arrival is processed at the eVisa counter on landing. A passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages is required. Madagascar is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Because some aggregator sites incorrectly label Madagascar as visa-free for Malaysia, travelers should rely on the official eVisa portal: the verdict is visa-required, best satisfied via eVisa.
