🇲🇾马来西亚(Malaysia)🇲🇬马达加斯加(Madagascar)MY-MG 马来西亚(Malaysia) 前往 马达加斯加(Madagascar) 签证要求
Malaysian passport holders need a visa for Madagascar. The easiest route for tourism is the official Madagascar eVisa (tourist), applied for online before travel; a visa on arrival is also available at major airports for the same fee. There is no visa-free entry. A Malaysia (MY) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Madagascar visa-free. Madagascar requires a tourist visa from all nationalities, including Malaysia. The two practical options are: (1) the official Madagascar eVisa applied for online at evisamada-mg.com before departure, and (2) a visa on arrival obtained at international airports such as Antananarivo-Ivato or Nosy Be, charged at the same rate as the eVisa. The tourist visa is single-entry, with a maximum tourist stay of up to 90 days; the most common short-visit option covers up to 15 days. As of 16 February 2026 the 15-day eVisa fee was increased roughly threefold to about EUR 30 / USD 35 (previously around EUR 10). Longer durations cost more: 16-30 days about EUR 35 / USD 41, 31-60 days about EUR 40 / USD 47, and up to 90 days about EUR 50 / USD 59. The eVisa is typically issued within about 72 hours, while visa on arrival is processed at the eVisa counter on landing. A passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages is required. Madagascar is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Because some aggregator sites incorrectly label Madagascar as visa-free for Malaysia, travelers should rely on the official eVisa portal: the verdict is visa-required, best satisfied via eVisa.
