马来西亚(Malaysia) 前往 伊朗(Iran) 签证要求

Malaysian ordinary passport holders can enter Iran visa-free for short tourist stays. Under the reciprocal Iran–Malaysia agreement (extended on 3 September 2025), the visa-free stay is now up to 30 days; no advance visa or e-visa is needed for trips within this window. Malaysia and Iran have a reciprocal bilateral visa-waiver arrangement for ordinary passport holders. Malaysian citizens can travel to Iran for tourism without any visa for a short stay. The previous 14-day limit was extended to 30 days effective 3 September 2025 (some travel-industry sources still reference a 15-day cap during the transition, so confirm at check-in). On arrival, Iranian authorities issue an entry permit; no passport stamp is placed (Iran issues separate electronic entry records to avoid stamping). Travelers who wish to stay longer than the visa-free period, or who need a longer/business validity, can instead apply for the Iran e-Visa via the official MFA portal (evisa.mfa.ir): this requires a visa grant notice/authorization letter and a small consulate or airport stamp fee. Note that Iran is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Standard requirements still apply: passport valid at least 6 months, proof of onward travel and accommodation, and mandatory travel/medical insurance covering Iran. Because Iran's banking is largely cut off from international card networks, visitors should bring sufficient cash (EUR or USD) for the entire trip and obtain an Iran tourist (debit) card locally. Always verify the exact visa-free period with the Iranian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur before departure, as bilateral terms can change.

如何申请

/01
Confirm your eligibility and stay length

/02
Check passport validity
Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned date of entry and has at least two blank pages.
· 6 months validity
/03
Buy mandatory travel insurance
Purchase travel/medical insurance that explicitly covers Iran for the full duration of your trip. Border officials may ask for proof; if you lack it, you must buy Iranian coverage on arrival.
· Iran-valid policy
/04

Carry confirmed return/onward flight tickets, hotel bookings or host details, and enough cash (EUR/USD) since foreign bank/credit cards do not work in Iran.
