🇲🇾马来西亚(Malaysia)🇭🇺匈牙利(Hungary)MY-HU 马来西亚(Malaysia) 前往 匈牙利(Hungary) 签证要求
Malaysian ordinary passport holders can visit Hungary visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, because Hungary is a Schengen state and Malaysia is on the Schengen visa-exemption list. No visa is needed as of 3 June 2026. A pre-travel ETIAS authorisation (around EUR 20) is expected to become mandatory once the system goes live in Q4 2026 - it is not yet required. Hungary is a member of the Schengen Area, and Malaysia is one of the visa-exempt third countries for the Schengen zone. A Malaysian ordinary passport holder may therefore enter Hungary (and the wider Schengen Area) for tourism, business or family visits without a visa for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. The Malaysian Embassy in Budapest and IATA-aligned sources confirm this exemption. The passport must be issued within the previous 10 years and remain valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure from the Schengen Area, with at least two blank pages. Travellers should be ready to show proof of onward/return travel, accommodation and sufficient funds at the external border. Looking ahead, the EU's European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is scheduled to start in the last quarter of 2026 (officially expected October-December 2026). Once live, Malaysians will need an approved ETIAS (online, roughly EUR 20, valid up to 3 years) before boarding to Schengen. As of 3 June 2026 ETIAS is NOT yet in force, so the current correct verdict for a short tourist visit is visa-free.
