🇲🇾马来西亚(Malaysia)🇧🇬保加利亚(Bulgaria)MY-BG 马来西亚(Malaysia) 前往 保加利亚(Bulgaria) 签证要求
Malaysian ordinary passport holders can visit Bulgaria visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No visa or pre-authorization is required to travel right now. Bulgaria became a full member of the Schengen Area on 1 January 2025, so Malaysian ordinary passport holders enjoy the standard Schengen visa-exemption: they may enter Bulgaria visa-free for tourism, business, transit, or visiting family/friends for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. The Bulgarian Embassy in Malaysia confirms no visa is needed for stays under 90 days, provided the passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. As of June 2026, no ETIAS authorization is yet required: the EU's ETIAS travel-authorization system is scheduled to begin operations in the last quarter of 2026, with mandatory enforcement only phasing in from 2027. Once live, Malaysians will need a EUR 20 ETIAS approval (free for travelers under 18 or over 70) before entering any Schengen state including Bulgaria, but it remains a pre-screening authorization, not a visa. Stays exceeding 90 days, or visits for work or study, require an appropriate long-stay (national) visa obtained in advance. Travelers should note the 90/180 day limit is counted cumulatively across ALL Schengen countries, not Bulgaria alone.
