Applicants submit a completed application form, a passport valid at least 6 months with blank pages, a passport photo, and supporting documents (sponsor/invitation letter, hotel and flight bookings); the embassy fee is approximately USD 154 and processing takes up to about 10 working days. Stays are typically up to 1-2 months. CRITICAL SAFETY NOTE: Sudan is in active armed conflict; the United States and other governments maintain a Level 4 'Do not travel' advisory (reissued May 2026). The U.S. embassy in Khartoum has suspended operations, consular services are unavailable, and airports operate with severe disruptions. Tourist travel to Sudan is strongly discouraged and largely impractical at this time. Sudan is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply.
