墨西哥(Mexico) 前往 罗马尼亚(Romania) 签证要求

Mexican ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist stays in Romania. Romania is a full Schengen member (since 1 January 2025), and Mexico is on the EU visa-exempt list, so you may enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. ETIAS travel authorisation is expected to become mandatory only from late 2026/2027 and is not yet required as of June 2026. Mexico holds a Schengen visa-waiver agreement with the European Union, so holders of ordinary Mexican passports may travel to Romania for tourism, business or family visits without a visa. Romania became a full member of the Schengen Area on 1 January 2025 (air and sea border checks lifted 31 March 2024, internal land border checks lifted 1 January 2025), which means time spent in Romania counts toward the standard Schengen allowance of 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across all 29 Schengen states combined. No visa, eVisa or visa-on-arrival is required for the short tourist stay. At the border you must satisfy standard Schengen entry conditions: a passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure and issued within the last 10 years, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation details and sufficient funds. The EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) began phased rollout in October 2025 with full implementation by April 2026, meaning biometric registration (facial image and fingerprints) at the external border on first entry. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) — a roughly EUR 20 online pre-travel authorisation — is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026 with a transitional grace period into 2027, so it is NOT yet required for Mexicans as of 1 June 2026. Travelers should monitor ETIAS announcements before trips planned for late 2026 onward. Overstaying the 90/180 limit requires a national long-stay visa or residence permit obtained in advance.
