Mexican ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance to visit Qatar. They receive a free visa waiver on arrival valid for 30 days, extendable once for a further 30 days. Mexico is on Qatar's visa-exemption list. On arrival at Hamad International Airport (or any port of entry), Mexican ordinary passport holders are granted a complimentary visa waiver allowing a stay of up to 30 days, which can be extended once for an additional 30 days at the Ministry of Interior. There is no advance application and no fee for this waiver. Entry conditions are a passport valid for at least 6 months (Visit Qatar states a minimum of 3 months from date of arrival, but 6 months is the safe standard), a confirmed hotel booking or local host address, an onward/return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. The waiver is for tourism, business, and family visits only and does not permit employment. Mexican travelers are NOT on the restricted list (India, Pakistan, Thailand, Iran) that must pre-book a Discover Qatar hotel package, so no pre-arrival booking is mandatory. Qatar is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers who prefer certainty can instead obtain a Hayya A1 tourist e-visa online (QAR 100), but it is optional given the free on-arrival waiver.
