🇲🇽墨西哥(Mexico)🇲🇬马达加斯加(Madagascar)MX-MG 墨西哥(Mexico) 前往 马达加斯加(Madagascar) 签证要求
Yes, a visa is required. Mexican ordinary passport holders need a Madagascar tourist visa, but it is easy to get: apply for an eVisa online before travel, or obtain a visa on arrival at international airports. The eVisa is recommended to avoid airport queues. Madagascar is not visa-free for Mexican citizens, but it offers one of the most accessible entry systems in the world. Citizens of every country except Burundi and Palestine may obtain either an electronic visa (eVisa) before departure or a visa on arrival (VOA) at international airports such as Antananarivo-Ivato (TNR) and Nosy Be (NOS). For a short tourist trip the eVisa is the best option: it is a single-entry tourist authorization, applied for online at the official portal evisamada-mg.com, with the electronic travel authorization issued within 72 hours. Fees depend on the length of stay; following an increase effective 16 February 2026, the short-stay (up to 15 days) eVisa now costs EUR 30 / USD 35. Madagascar is in southern Africa (Indian Ocean) and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months with at least one blank page, proof of onward/return travel, and confirmation of accommodation. Visa on arrival remains available and is priced the same as the eVisa, but applying for the eVisa in advance is strongly recommended to speed up entry.
