Mexican ordinary passport holders need an eVisa to enter Equatorial Guinea for tourism. Mexico is not on the short visa-exempt list, but the eVisa is open to all nationalities. Apply online before travel via the official portal, pay USD 75, and enter through Malabo International Airport. As of mid-2026, Mexico is not among the few countries exempt from Equatorial Guinea's visa requirement (the only ordinary-passport exemptions are Barbados, Tunisia, Turkey, the UAE, and CEMAC member states). Since 1 July 2023, Equatorial Guinea has operated an electronic visa (eVisa) system available to travelers of all nationalities, including Mexicans. The eVisa is a single-entry visa covering tourism and business stays of up to 90 days. It is obtained online before departure through the official portal (equatorialguinea-evisa.com), carries a government fee of USD 75, and is normally processed within 24 to 72 hours. eVisa holders must enter the country through Malabo International Airport. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. Travelers should print the approved eVisa confirmation and carry it with supporting documents (accommodation proof, return ticket, sufficient funds) to present to immigration on arrival. Equatorial Guinea is not part of the Schengen area, so the 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
