Mexican ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Argentina for tourism. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days, extendable once for a further 90 days. Argentina grants visa-free entry to holders of ordinary Mexican passports traveling for tourism, business, or family visits. On arrival you receive a tourist admission of up to 90 days, which can be extended once for another 90 days at the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones (DNM) before it expires. Argentina is in South America, not the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. There is no electronic travel authorization (ETA) required for tourists; the optional online TIE 24H system exists only for certain professional/business/academic activities and is not needed for ordinary tourism. At the border, expect to show a passport valid for the duration of your stay (6 months recommended), a return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and accommodation details or an invitation letter. As of 2026-05-30 no Mexico-Argentina visa changes have been announced; the visa waiver remains in force.
