South Korean ordinary passport holders need a visa for Timor-Leste, but can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Dili's Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport (or Dili Sea Port) for USD 30, valid for a single entry and a 30-day stay, extendable once. South Korea is not on Timor-Leste's visa-exemption list (only Portuguese and U.S. nationals enjoy tourist visa exemption, and Indonesians have their own on-arrival arrangement). For all other nationalities, including South Korean ordinary passport holders, Timor-Leste issues a tourist visa on arrival at Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili and at Dili Sea Port. The visa on arrival costs USD 30 (cash only), is single-entry, and authorises a 30-day stay that can be extended once in-country for a further 30 days (up to 60 days total). Travelers must present a passport valid for at least six months with one blank page, a completed arrival card, a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and proof of sufficient funds. No mandatory e-visa or pre-approval system exists for South Korean tourists; the visa is granted at the point of entry on payment of the fee. ATM and currency-exchange facilities at the airport are unreliable, so carry the USD 30 fee in cash. Timor-Leste is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply.
