South Korean ordinary passport holders need an online e-Tourist Card (entry-fee authorization) before traveling to Suriname for tourism. There is no full visa-free channel and no visa-on-arrival; the card must be obtained online before departure via VFS Global, the official government partner. South Korea is neither on Suriname's outright visa-exemption list (mostly Caribbean/CARICOM states) nor on its visa/e-visa-required list (about 21 mostly high-risk nationalities). It therefore falls into Suriname's "entry-fee" category: tourists must obtain an electronic Tourist Card online before arrival by paying an entry fee. Functionally this is an eVisa-style pre-arrival authorization. South Korean nationals are eligible, the stay is up to 90 days single entry, and the card is administered by VFS Global on behalf of the Government of Suriname. A passport valid at least 6 months and proof of onward/return travel are required. Conservative travelers should apply at least a week before departure (minimum 72 hours), since the card cannot be obtained at the border. This is current as of 30 May 2026.
