South Korean ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance for a short tourist trip to the Solomon Islands. On arrival you are issued a free Visitor's Permit valid for up to 3 months within any 12-month period, provided you hold a passport with at least 6 months validity, an onward/return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. The Solomon Islands grants nationals of South Korea (Republic of Korea) a free Visitor's Permit issued at the port of entry. South Korea is not on the restricted list of nationalities requiring prior visa approval from the Director of Immigration, so no advance application or eVisa is needed for tourism. The permit allows stays totaling up to 3 months (90 days) within any rolling 12-month period and can be used for multiple entries within that aggregate limit. Extensions of up to a further 3 months are possible from the Immigration Division in Honiara for special circumstances. Standard entry conditions apply: a passport valid for at least 6 months, a confirmed onward or return air ticket, sufficient funds for the stay, and valid visas/documents for any onward destination. There is no Schengen relevance (the Solomon Islands is a sovereign Pacific nation). Because the permit is granted at the border rather than via a pre-arranged waiver or online system, the best single classification for a short tourist stay is visa-on-arrival (free).
