South Korean ordinary passport holders need a visa for Nigeria. As of 2025-2026, the standard route is the online Tourism Visa (F5A) obtained through Nigeria's official NIS eVisa portal before travel; visa-on-arrival was discontinued in May 2025. South Korea is not an ECOWAS member and has no visa-waiver or visa-abolition agreement with Nigeria, so Korean ordinary passport holders require a visa for tourism. Since 1 May 2025, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) replaced the old visa-on-arrival scheme with a fully online eVisa system. Tourists apply for the Tourism Visa (F5A) on the official NIS eVisa portal, upload documents, pay online, and typically receive an approval by email within 24-48 hours. The eVisa is a single-entry authorization valid for 90 days from issuance, permitting a stay of up to 30 days; it is not extendable and does not permit employment. On arrival a visa sticker/endorsement is placed in the passport. Travelers should apply only through the official NIS portal (evisa.immigration.gov.ng) or the Nigerian Embassy in Seoul to avoid third-party markups; the official cost consists of a visa/immigration fee plus a mandatory biometric verification fee for non-African nationals.
