South Korean ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Colombia. They receive a visa-free entry permit (Permiso de Ingreso y Permanencia, PIP) of up to 90 days on arrival, extendable to a maximum of 180 days per calendar year. A free Check-Mig online pre-registration is required before boarding. Colombia grants visa-free entry to nationals of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) for tourism, business, and other short-stay purposes. On arrival, immigration issues a tourist entry/stay permit (PIP-3) valid for up to 90 days per visit, which can be extended once for up to a further 90 days, capped at 180 cumulative days within a single calendar year. No advance visa or visa fee applies. Colombia is NOT a Schengen country, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS are irrelevant here. Travelers must hold a passport valid for the duration of stay (carriers commonly require 6 months), proof of onward/return travel, and may be asked for proof of accommodation and sufficient funds. Since 2022 Colombia uses the Check-Mig form, a free online pre-registration completed within 72 hours (commonly 24 hours) before arrival; while Migración Colombia has signaled it is not strictly obligatory, most airlines still require confirmation before boarding, so it should be treated as mandatory. Working or paid activity is not permitted on the tourist permit. Verdict verified against the Colombian Foreign Ministry visa policy, Migración Colombia, and corroborating travel-requirement databases as of 2026.
