South Korean ordinary passport holders need a visa for Azerbaijan. The simplest route is the ASAN e-Visa, applied for online before travel: single entry, up to 30 days, valid 90 days from issue, USD 25 standard. South Korea is not on Azerbaijan's visa-free or bilateral visa-waiver list, so a visa is required for tourism. The standard and recommended channel is the ASAN e-Visa, applied for entirely online via the official portal at evisa.gov.az. It is a single-entry visa allowing a stay of up to 30 days, valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The standard fee is USD 25 (a USD 20 state fee plus a USD 5 service fee) with processing of up to 3 working days; an urgent option costs USD 60 and is processed within about 3 hours. South Korea is also among the small group of countries eligible for an electronic visa-on-arrival at international airports, but applying for the e-Visa in advance is strongly recommended to avoid airport delays or refusal. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure date. As of 2026-05-30 there have been no announced visa-free arrangements between South Korea and Azerbaijan; Azerbaijan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
