🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇸🇰斯洛伐克(Slovakia)JP-SK 日本(Japan) 前往 斯洛伐克(Slovakia) 签证要求
Japanese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Slovakia. As a full Schengen member, Slovakia admits Japanese nationals visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. No application is required before travel today, though the ETIAS travel authorization is expected to become mandatory in late 2026. Slovakia is a full member of the Schengen Area, and Japan is on the EU list of visa-exempt third countries. A Japanese ordinary passport holder may therefore enter Slovakia for tourism without a visa and stay up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period (the days are counted across the entire Schengen Area, not Slovakia alone). The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure and issued within the previous 10 years. Since 10 April 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully operational, so on first entry travellers register biometrics (facial image and fingerprints) at the border instead of receiving a passport stamp. The ETIAS travel authorisation (a EUR 7 online pre-authorisation valid up to 3 years) is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026; as of 1 June 2026 it is NOT yet required, and a transitional grace period is expected after launch. For stays beyond 90 days or for work/study, a national long-stay visa or residence permit is required from the Slovak authorities.
