日本(Japan) 前往 罗马尼亚(Romania) 签证要求

Japanese ordinary passport holders do not need a visa for short tourist trips to Romania. As a full Schengen member (since 1 January 2025), Romania admits Japanese nationals visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No ETIAS is required yet. Romania became a full member of the Schengen Area on 1 January 2025, when its remaining internal land border controls were lifted (air and sea controls had ended on 31 March 2024). Japan is on the EU/Schengen visa-exemption list, so Japanese ordinary passport holders may enter Romania and the wider Schengen area for tourism, business or family visits without a visa for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. This 90/180 allowance is shared across all Schengen countries combined, not per country. The EU's ETIAS travel authorisation is scheduled to launch in the last quarter of 2026, followed by a roughly six-month transitional period during which it is not yet mandatory; therefore, as of 1 June 2026, Japanese travelers do NOT yet need an ETIAS for Romania. Travelers should still carry a passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date from Schengen and issued within the previous 10 years, plus proof of onward/return travel, accommodation and sufficient funds, which border officers may request. Working for pay is not permitted on visa-free entry. Always reconfirm ETIAS status close to departure, as the rollout date and transitional rules may shift.
