🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇱🇺卢森堡(Luxembourg)JP-LU 日本(Japan) 前往 卢森堡(Luxembourg) 签证要求
Japanese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist trips to Luxembourg. Luxembourg is in the Schengen Area, and Japan is a visa-exempt nationality, so you may enter for up to 90 days within any 180-day period with no advance application. ETIAS is not yet in force (launch expected Q4 2026); until then, no online authorization is required either. Luxembourg is a full member of the Schengen Area, and Japan is on the EU's list of visa-exempt third countries. A Japanese national holding an ordinary passport can therefore travel to Luxembourg for tourism, business, family visits or transit without obtaining a visa, staying up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area combined (not 90 days per country). The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from Schengen and have been issued within the previous 10 years. As of 1 June 2026, the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is NOT yet operational; the EU expects it to go live in the last quarter of 2026, after which visa-exempt travellers including Japanese nationals will need an approved ETIAS (a EUR 20 online authorization, valid 3 years) before boarding. There will also be a transitional grace period after launch. The new Entry/Exit System (EES) records non-EU travellers' entries and exits biometrically. For now, no visa and no online authorization are required for a Japanese passport holder visiting Luxembourg.
