🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇱🇹立陶宛(Lithuania)JP-LT 日本(Japan) 前往 立陶宛(Lithuania) 签证要求
No visa is required. Japanese ordinary passport holders can enter Lithuania visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period under the Schengen short-stay rules. ETIAS is not yet required as of June 2026. Lithuania is a full member of the Schengen Area (since 2007), and Japan has a visa-waiver arrangement with the EU/Schengen states. As a result, holders of an ordinary Japanese passport may travel to Lithuania for tourism, business, family visits, or transit without a visa for stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. The 90-day allowance is cumulative across the entire Schengen Area, not per country, so days spent in other Schengen states count toward the same limit. Travelers should hold a passport issued within the previous 10 years and valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen zone (6 months is the safest buffer). At the border you may be asked to show proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, accommodation details, and travel medical insurance. The key upcoming change is ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System): once it becomes operational in the fourth quarter of 2026, Japanese nationals will need a pre-approved ETIAS authorisation (EUR 20, valid up to 3 years) before boarding. As of 1 June 2026 ETIAS is NOT yet in force, so no online authorisation or fee is currently needed - a valid biometric passport alone is sufficient. The separate Entry/Exit System (EES) records border crossings biometrically but does not require any application by the traveler.
