日本(Japan) 前往 克罗地亚(Croatia) 签证要求

Japanese ordinary passport holders can visit Croatia visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Croatia is in the Schengen Area, so the Schengen short-stay rule applies. As of June 2026, no ETIAS is required yet, but it is expected to become mandatory in the last quarter of 2026. Croatia joined the Schengen Area on 1 January 2023, and Japan is on the EU's visa-exempt (Annex II) list. A Japanese ordinary passport holder may therefore enter Croatia for tourism, business, or visiting family/friends without a visa, staying up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area (not just Croatia). The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date and issued within the previous 10 years; many travelers use a six-month buffer as a safe margin. Travelers must be able to show a return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds if asked at the border. The EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) began phased rollout from late 2025, meaning biometric (fingerprint and facial) data is now collected at external Schengen borders. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is a separate, low-cost online travel authorization that will become mandatory for visa-exempt nationals, including Japanese citizens, expected in the last quarter of 2026. As of 1 June 2026, ETIAS is NOT yet required and no application is needed; the verdict remains visa-free for short tourist stays. Travelers should monitor official EU sources before departure as the ETIAS launch date approaches.
