🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇬🇹危地马拉(Guatemala)JP-GT 日本(Japan) 前往 危地马拉(Guatemala) 签证要求
Japanese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Guatemala. They are granted visa-free entry for up to 90 days on arrival, shared across the CA-4 region (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua). Japan is on Guatemala's visa-exemption list. Holders of an ordinary Japanese passport may enter Guatemala for tourism, business, or transit without a visa for a stay of up to 90 days. Entry is granted on arrival by an immigration officer who stamps the passport and determines the exact authorized period (up to 90 days). Note the Central America-4 (CA-4) Border Control Agreement: the 90-day allowance is shared across Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, so time spent in any of these four countries counts toward the same 90-day clock unless you exit the CA-4 zone entirely. The passport should generally be valid for the duration of stay (six months' validity is the common, conservative recommendation), and travelers may be asked to show proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds. Stays can be extended once for up to a further 90 days by applying in person at the Guatemalan Migration Institute (IGM) before the initial period expires, for a fee of about US$25 (paid in quetzales). Overstays incur a fine of roughly Q15 per day, payable in cash on departure. There is no eVisa, ETA, or visa-on-arrival fee for short tourist visits; entry itself is free of charge.
